Our Junior Athletics are operated under UK Athletics’ Laws & Rules.
A Scottish Athletics’ Permit Event.

 

Categories are correct for 2025, and are subject to change for 2026.

Please note:

 

  • Competitors’ qualifying age should be determined as at 31 August 2026.
  • Events are due to commence at approximately 11am, all competitors should report to the Athletics Tent no later than 10.30.am on the day - timings may change, please keep an this page and our social media pages.
  • Events may not run on the day in the sequence shown
  • All the above events will be held on grass at The Public Stadium in Rothesay

ENTRY FORMS

 

 

Entries are expected to open in Spring 2026.

 

 

ENTRY TO BUTE HIGHLAND GAMES - Correct for 2025 and are subject to change for 2026.

 

Entry to Bute Highland Games for competitiors/participants only  (competitors must be pre-registered prior to closing date) will be free of charge, accompanying parents, guardians, adults and spectators will be required to pay for entry at gate prices, tickets can be purchased on our tickets page.

 

Competitors will be required to bring along confirmation of their entry to the Junior Athletics competition to receive their free entry to the games, failure to bring this along will result in non-refundable gate fees being payable. Please note that confirmations will be sent following the closing date of pre-entries.

 

Competitors looking to register on the day will be required to pay the non-refundable gate entry fee on the day.
