Give your support – Enjoy the benefits
The costs of staging the Highland Games are ever-increasing and even in successful years, with fine weather and good attendance, we rarely have much surplus when the time comes to pay our bills. Indeed, if it were not for the generosity of our supporters and benefactors, we could not continue to provide this important aspect of our cultural heritage.
… To that end we ask you to please consider becoming a patron of Bute Highland Games?
Not only does patronage give you the opportunity to offer much needed financial support to the Games but with it comes a number of benefits.
The patrons’ marquee provides respite from the bustle of the main public spectator area; shelter from any extremes of weather (if needed!); and an uninterrupted view to the centre of the Games’ arena. It is furnished with tables and chairs and offers complimentary coffee and tea, plus a licensed bar and dedicated toilet facilities.
Patrons will receive rosettes by post prior to the event entitling them to entry to the Games; access to the patrons’ marquee; a complimentary programme of the day’s proceedings as well as coffee/tea.
You can download and complete the application form (click here) and send it, together with your cheque, to our patron convenors, Andrew Halley and Stuart Shaw, who will dispatch your rosette(s) to you nearer the date. Alternatively we also offer the facility to purchase patronage on-line using the link form below. Make your choice and follow the on-line instructions. Your rosette(s) will be posted to you closer to the Games. Should you prefer you can become a patron on the day of the Games by locating the patron convenors in the patrons’ marquee, where your gate admission fee and your programme costs (if applicable), will be deducted from the payment of your preferred patronage rate. We do hope we will have the privilege of welcoming you as a patron to Bute Highland Games 2017.
